Spotlight on the Collection (new!) - Streaming Video Collections

For those of you interested in documentary filmmaking or placing American  literature in historical context, the library has just acquired access to two streaming video collections from Alexander Street Press:  Filmakers (sic) Library Online and American History in Video.

Filmakers Library Online: Searchable collection of award-winning international documentaries in streaming video format, covering a wide variety of subjects. Transcripts are included alongside the video, and clips may be created and shared.

American History in Video: Searchable collection of  commercial and governmental newsreels, archival footage, public affairs footage, and important documentaries in streaming video format which chronicles American history from the 1890s to the 1980s. Transcripts are included alongside the video, and clips may be created and shared.

Note: Both are licensed databases and use of Ezproxy or VPN client is necessary to access them from off-campus.
